Thank you so much. I am going to take your advice and check out other options. My practice squares were difficult for me so no "cotton theory" for her. A 4 patch sounds great too. I bought 5" charms for her so that would be easy and some simple fused appliques would work too. She is very good with the iron. Thank all of you again. Yolanda Wood River

I just went on Missouri Star Quilt Company site and love it. Thank you for that lead. Now I am confident that the 4 patch will be a great starter quilt for us. I like the idea of tying it also. Makes a softer and fluffier quilt. I so appreciate everyone's help. Yolanda Wood River
