Default A question about Brother Inovis QC1000 feature.

I have this machine and I use it a lot for piecing and straight sewing. I like the auto secure function through the reverse button but at times I just want to reverse sew. I have looked in the manual and don't see quite how this is done. Does anyone who has this machine know how I might activate this feature. I am sure I am just not seeing something right in front of my nose.

It is the button that looks like a upside down U, you just hold it down while you sew

I know that it is the reverse function button but it is also the auto secure button. I press it and I get auto secure, not reverse sewing. How then do I turn off the auto secure.
