Fold'n Stitch Wreath
I am slowly working my way thru the pattern and have come to the point where you fuse the 5 inch square over the X opening and zig zag around. I have never done a satin type stitch and am afraid it will be uneven and obvious.
Those of you who have made the wreaths-did you use the setting suggested in the pattern and did you have any trouble going thru the thickness of the material? In all of your pictures, I never saw Zig-zag showing so did you use thread to match the 5 inch square or the fabric with the X cut. Thank you for your help.

I use the blanket stitch I feel it's neater. I didn't have any problem with the thickness of the material. You can try different lengths of stitch to see what you like on a scrap piece of material. I used 1 inch on my machine.
Love working these. Once I get the material cut I can make one in an evening.

Here is the fold n stitch blossom I made on July 4th. I used a decorative stitch to make it a little more fancy. You can see it looks like a scallop around the applique part. This is a poorhouse pattern.I think and stitch will work. You don't wash these often anyway.

Thanks to all -lawsonmugs, mamia, jmarko and stashelf for the information about fusibles and the use of different stitches.
Really didn't want to use zig-zag (can't get it even) will try the others and see what I can manage. So used to doing what a pattern says (and not familiar with types of fusibles) that it's easy for me to get "stuck".
