Ok each block consist of 8 med-dark squares
    4 light..
I'm almost out of light fabrics.... Would it hurt to repeat them? I'll just have to try not to put them side by side. They'll be mixed up so not exactly like another block.... Should be ok huh?
Thanks for your help. Working on my next set

Bev, I think in a scrappy, repeating a fabic is NOOOOO Problemo! Like you say, you just want to be sure you don't get the same fabric side by side, otherwise your 2 squares will look like one rectangle! LOL

I think it would be ok.. isn't that the purpose of a scrappy quilt , to use up your scraps ! So it would make sense that some fabric would be repeats. As long as they are not side-by-side I see no problem... JMHO

thanks kiddo. I never made a quilt with so many colors in just one block (12) but it sure is fun, quick, easy to do. this would be great for a beginner. this is the first quilt i made using an actual pattern. i usually make up my own
