i live dangerously close to KQ, and I've never had a bad experience there. Yes, you do pay retail, but there are no sales taxes at the shop itself. It can get busy in the summer and fall with the tour buses, but the staff in the store is cheerful and the folks you talk to from the online store do their best to be helpful. Plus, they treat my husband as a real customer if he approaches the cutting table with a pile of bolts. (Sadly, in this day and age, it doesn't always happen.)

    hugs,
    Charlotte

I love KO. However, I also love my LQS'S. So I only order something I don't see locally. I especially like the Amish black fabric they sell; it's super saturated black and not available locally. Amazing how many shades of black there are. I also like KO for kits. They are not skimpy and there is always enough fabric to complete the kit

Thank you for mentioning fabric.com and connecting threads - I've just bookmarked them for later tonight!

I used to go there as a pilgrimage, about 3 hours away, but last trip I was disappointed that they don't have as much as they used to. Lots of kits, many on sale, but not as many bolts as they had before ownership changed. I think Country Treasures in Chester VT has more fabric. But a fabric road trip is always fun and the turkey farm restaurant just up the street has great comfort food.

I just think their prices are high compared to other online stores. I want to have the ability to get the quantity of fabric I need so I prefer to shop at other stores that will let me purchase a 1/4 of a yard if that is what I need.

Keepsake is expensive so don't buy from them much.
I love Connecting Threads. Very good prices.

I ordered from them one time. The quality is quite good, but before my package came, I saw the same thing on another site for a fair amount less.
