Do you handle flannel any differently when quilting it on the frame? Does it stretch?...thank you.

Flannel will stretch, so I put my clamps on the batting and back fabric only, not on the top. Otherwise I do it just the same. A bit more cleanig of the bobbin is required.

Tina is right on. And I use lighter weight clamps.

I try not to clamp my quilts on the sides unless the backing fabric is saggy enough that it will pleat. Saying that, I never clamp anything BUT the backing fabric.
