    My experience has been the same as francie. I love backing in minky. I spray well with spray baste, and don't quilt particularly closely (btw I use Warm and White). I don't think I have done FMQ though, mainly SITD or grids when I use Minky.

    I've used minky only once & it was the back of a flannel blanket, not a quilt. I did not pre-wash it but did pre-wash the flannel. It was easy to work with but I did pin more than I usually do. This was more like a receiving blanket & made "pillow case" style by sewing right sides together & then turning.
