I believe we are artists in one form or another. Whatever you do that holds your passion i think is an art form in itself

Quilters are artists for sure. But, personally, I feel I'm less of an artist if I'm following a pattern or copying something I've seen.

We are just artists who use fabric to be creative. No difference.

I enjoy sewing and painting plus working in my yard. I consider myself to an artist, because I use my ideas. Can being a mother be considered an artist?

Quilters are most definitely artists. If you need any proof, just look at the array of interpretations you get when you give a group of quilters the same directions for a block.
The variety and talent that blooms is amazing.
