Default Question on pricing a used cabinet

I have no idea how to price a used Arrow Bertha sewing cabinet with the hydraulic lift. It is in good shape, about 10 year old. I got a newer, bigger machine and need a bigger cabinet. It retails now for 1,299. Any suggestions on what would be a fair price?

Do you have a local sewing shop? They might be able to tell you, or perhaps even let you put it in their shop to sell, or give you a deal on something. You could check eBay or local buy, sell, trade markets to see what people are selling comparable items for ( actually selling- not just asking for) location matters as with many things. Around here you would be lucky ( selling on your own) to get $100. Other places might get $500-$600 or more for it. Depends on how bad you want to get rid of it and what area you live in....is there a pretty good sized guild in your area? One with money? There are lots of variables. You could just decide- what is the amount you think you have to have for it and list it somewhere- see what happens.or decide the bare lowest you will accept for it then add a couple hundred to that amount- giving someone negotiating room.
