Hi, need some advice. I am working on a baby quilt with quite a bit of applique(raw edge). I have pressed it all down, now, should I zig zag around everything and then do the blanket stitch, or will the blanket stitch alone hold up OK?

Either the blanket stitch or ziz zag stitch alone, should be enough :D:D:D

I am doing my first applique , and I am only doing the blanket stitch . It is my understanding that you do one or the other .. the fusible holds the applique to the background fabric .

Thanks so much, I was dreading having to do both (the more I have to do, the more mistakes I make). This one will likely take awhile but for sure I will show pictures.

I've done a lot of applique with steam a seam. I love the look the blanket stitch gives. Adds a bit of texture
