Default Question for Those of You with the Old Pfaff Inspira Quilting Frame

Hi,

This is the old frame with the shelf on top. I read somewhere (can't remember ) that the maximum machine throat size that can be used with the frame is 9". Is this true?

I found the Pfaff 1200 and the frame for $500 with the stitch regulator. Still waiting for information on the condition but, if in good condition, I know this is a good deal. Although I'm just not sure if I want to limit my machine size.

Thanks.
Cathy

This is what i bought when it first came out and I still have it and use it. But all I do is my quilts for me with an allover loo-d-lou. And most of mine are no bigger that full/double size. so works for me . NOW if I had $8000 just laying around I would get a bigger one, but with this one i don't feel guilty when its not in use. So depends on how much you will use it. Great price, I don't use stitch reg. i find the variable speed works for me.
