I know many of you do quilts with little bitty scraps and others use the selvedges. But I've also seen a mention or two of using small scraps as stuffing for other projects.
I can't foresee anytime that I would use them that way but if I decided to save them to give away (hate to see anything go to waste) would it be okay to include tiny scraps of batting and even thread?
I've started stuffing all these little shreds and bits into a bag and can see the day when I might want to just give it to someone.

I've used them this year as garden mulch. Not in the vegetable garden, the perennial bed. Worked well. As you would expect, most of the LQS scraps faded, most of the recycled shirts did not. They have been out there since May.

Our local animal shelter said they would take scrap filled "beds" for cats but couldn't use them for dogs since there isn't someone there all the time and they are afraid the dogs might dig and tear the case apart and eat the fabric. Check with your local shelter before you make any.
