Does anyone who is a wool quilter use clean woolen garments or do you all prefer to buy new woolen fabric?

99% of my wool is recycled wools. I over dye many. I shop thrift shops, yard sales, wherever, deconstruct, was h in hot water with small amount of detergent- long cycle, rinse in cold water, dry in hot dryer. Dye if I want, and use them. About the only time I ever purchase new wool is if I need a particular color and don't want to dye it, or my local quilt shop has felted hand dyed wools in various size pieces. If I need a color they have & just need a small piece I might pick it up there.
