The name quillow means it is a quilt made into a pillow or pillow that can then become a quilt.

My grand daughters (ages 9 & 12) made them in a sewing class and then last Christmas (09) made then for aunts & uncles. Here is a poem I found and they put one with each quillow
Use me as a pillow
Unless you get cold
Then pull out my stuffing
And gently unfold
I'm a lap quilt now
With space for your feet
And when you're all done
Fold me back nice and neat

The grandaughters took them to church camp last year.

Thank you so very much for the helpful web site. I did not know what one was either, but now I know and would love to make a few for my grandchildren. Thank you again.
