I hate to do binding, my SIL used to do all my binding for me, but since I discovered the "bring the backing over to the front as the binding" method, which I really like, my projects are getting done!

I do the same only because I can't sit and just watch TV, I have to keep my hands busy. Doing binding is great in front of the TV.

Do you trim your seams? and once you make the fold do you cut off the extra "wings" of fabric?

To get "straight" diagonal seams for joining binding....
lay one strip over the end of the other extending about 1/4" on end of each piece. Put needle in the "v" of upper left and sew to "v" of lower right. Putting the needle in the "v" is not into the fabric but is to line up the seam on the edge. Works every time to get good straight joinings. Look at my program on www.quilterstv.com on binding. There are two and will have to scroll thru to find both of them. The newer one addes to the original.

I hate sewing binding on quilts... That is why I end up doing another project. But I sure am happy to say, as of yesterday I have NO UFO's in my sewing room. I really had to push myself to finish them though!

I hate binding. I have RA & my hands are particularly bad, so I have to machine stitch both sides. I machine stitch the binding to the back, but then it is very difficult for me to pin once I've turned the binding to the front. The sewing isn't the problem--it's getting those darned pins through all the layers.
