Default Quilt Block Carrier

Someone at our group had a travel quilt block holder but no longer had the instructions. It was the size of the block with a slip in card board and then on other outside of the slip in was batting to hold the pieces in place It had an additional fabric cover to close it with straps to hold it together I probably could figure it out myself, but would be easier to follow directions.

Perhaps you can do a " word seach" both on this main forum, and the tutorials one.

I usually get a new pizza box from my local pizza shop. Works great

I use foam-core board from the dollar store. I cut two squares that are bigger than my block and make a "hinge" on one side with duct tape.

The pizza boxes work great. If it is a gently used box, line it with freezer paper and iron that down.

The pizza box works for several reasons. Usually a shop will give you a couple for free, they are cardboard so they wick away any moisture, they stack wonderfully and you can write on the side what is in them. I have orphan blocks listed as Christmas, Patriotic, floral, 'old-fashioned', etc. I often just want to try out a pattern or a color combo with no intention of making a top. By storing them , I can always grab one and stick it on a plain tote bag as a quick gift or gift bag. The recipient loves it and I am actually finding a home for me 'trash'. LOL
