I seem to recall something like this that I did a longtime ago. Do you recognize it?

surely could be a quilt block. i found one similar called Iberian Tiles by Catherine Redford. not exact though.

It could be a Celtic Knot block variation.

Most definitely a Celtic knot variation. It is not difficult to take this design and make it into a quilt block.
EQ 7 or 8 or Quilt Pro are the best bet for making the changes.

It does look like a Celtic knot pattern. With St. Patrick's day coming up you may find it on Pinterest. Or sometimes if you google the Celtic knot pattern this picture will come up
