I really like the second one but think you could easily use a combination of the first and second blocks. Really cute!

I was going to ask if you could use two of them. 2nd and 3rd. If onebyone suggests using all 3 then do it!

OK, let me make it harder !!!! Have you thought about using all 3 colors? Rather than a 4 patch, simply use a solid square (4 of the solid with 5 of the print). Then line up the blocks so the solids form diagonal lines or if the quilt top is large enough, form them in diamonds. My plan would be center white, then diamond of red, then diamond of black and fill in the corners with whites. Then I would border with a framing border of white and then whichever larger border you prefer and bind with the other. Sorry to add more problems!! love the print.
