We had a member say this at our Dirty Santa game (stealing). I immediately said okay, you are excused from the game and we went on playing and having a fun time without her. No one missed her playing. LOL

Have you ever done strip poker? We had lots of fun with that. everyone brings 25 wof strips of fabric. 5 are turned in to a major pot for a door prize, the other 20 you use to play. You put a strip in the pot, one card is dealt to each, the highest card wins the pot. I believe we changed tables after a certain number of rounds, as that varied the strips. It's been a while since I've played but you should have seen my husbands reaction when i said we were going to play "Strip Poker" at quilt guild.

A group of us play a variation on the stealing game.
All the gifts go into the centre of the room. Each couple brings 10 gifts, mostly gag or cheap gifts, one bottle and perhaps something nicer. We purchase year round and watch for sales.
Using a pair of dice and a cake tin, you have to roll 7 or doubles. If you get 7 or doubles you choose a gift, unwrap it and leave it in front of you. If you get doubles you roll again, but it you get doubles three times, you lose a turn. Once all the gifts are unwrapped, we stop for snacks, drink refills and to check out the gifts.
Next is a timed round. 15 minutes on the clock and you steal if you get 7 or doubles. Once the timer goes we have one last rapid fire round (60 seconds). In this round, if you roll 7 or double you can give away one of your gifts.
We have lots of fun. Re-gifting is strongly encouraged. We had a calendar (that was expired the first year it showed up) return for about 5 years. We have had scratch and win lotto tickets already scratched. Really bad movies show up some years.
After at least 15 years, there have never been hard feelings over stealing a gift.
One year there was a demonic iron candle holder. It was nasty and I wound up with it. I cleverly light the candle that came with it and left it on the hosts mantle. But a few years later I had it again and had to take it home.
