Quilt Guild Anniversary ideas
Our quilt guild will be coming up on its 25th anniversary and I want to have a special celebration for the guild during that year. I was wondering if some of your guilds have held special events or celebrations for your anniversaries and what did you do to mark the anniversaries in your guilds?
So far, we want to take some video of our founding members and their stories; share in making a 25th anniversary quilt for the guild (ideas welcome); mark the various members' contributions as board and committee chairs through the years (many of our members have held multiple offices); do a potluck luncheon (entertainment ideas welcome)
We have more than a year to plan so plenty of time to make things happen. Jill

You could incorporate the anniversary into other guild events throughout the year. Maybe if you do a challenge quilt, you can use Silver or the number 25 (25 blocks or 25 inches or 25 something else...) as the the theme of the competition. Maybe each monthly meeting could have a founding member/committee chair highlighted or their own trunk show or something. Are there any games or activities that have already become tradition for your guild, that you could modify to highlight "25"?
