I didn't use to name mine, then, I figured out, this is a way to refer back to them & keep track of them. So, I think whatever you choose is good, doubt there is a copyright problem in naming a quilt made. If it was going in a show or something, that might be different, but as a gift, I wouldn't think so...

I know as far as book titles, you cannot copyright a title. Theoretically, I could write a novel and name it "Gone With the Wind", but of course no publishing company would market a book with that name, just because of the confusion it would cause.
