I here in Brisbane, Australia visiting my daughter and new grandson. I am wondering if someone can tell me if there are any good quilting shops to go and see? Thanks and G'day!

Hi Marilyn Welcome to Australia. Hope your visit is wonderful. Can't tell you where the quilt shops are in Brisbane but look up the Yellow Pages under fabric and you should find lots. I'm sure some Brisbanites will be along shortly to give you some more detailed advice.

Welcome to Queensland, I live well outside Brisbane but on a bus trip I can remember shopping at the following shops. We saw lots but these I remember.:)
Patches Indooroopilly, 273 Moggill Road, Indooroopilly.
(Terrific staff here)
Sewco Sewing Centre, 1290 Logan Road, Mount Gravatt
The Quilters and Embroiderers Store, 286 Evans Road, Salisbury.
Lincraft, in the Myer Centre, Brisbane City Mall
There were a fair few Spotlight stores dotted around the different suburbs.
Our prices for material are much more dearer than what you are currently paying in the USA.
Enjoy your time with your daughter, new baby boy and shopping/sight seeing in our beautiful state.
Pleasant holiday to you. Brisbane quilters will know more about where the good shops are.
Shirley

harrold48 has given you some good advice. What suburb are you in?
Fabric is a lot dearer than USA.
