I hope I can get some help. I am making or trying to make a qayg quilt. I understand how to do the top sashing But I don't understand how to do the sashing on the back. Please HELP!

I did a search here and there are lots of other threads on quilt as you go. Hopefully one of them will answer your question.

Here is the one I did in the Fun and done method the link to bayside is included on the first page. There are several methods, this one has no hand sewing.

Try going to you tube and view the Crazy Shortcut Quilts video. It's one of several quilt as you go methods. There's no hand work at all, all machine stitched.

Are you using the one from the book ? Where you attach the front and back sashes ? Sew the two back sashes together , they fold down to the front side, pull the front sash over the seam and sew down on the opposite side.

On the back you will of each block you will sew a sash, on the front only a sash on ever other block .

Go to www.edonyourown.com. This site will explain the method to attach the sashing on the back. I just used this and posted my pics this am. Look at Main page for today about 10 posts down "need advice.... looking for machine You will see my quilt and see the directions to the site. Try it its easy!
