I bought a piece of quilted material to make a purse, its quilted on both side.Do I need to just put a binding on it or should I line it anyway so I can put pockets in it also?
Its a hobo bag style.Thanks for any help.I wasn't sure if the lining would work ok.

you could line it if you want to, is the back just plain or different prints on each side? maybe if you don't want to line you could just add pockets with a decorative stitch, or on the outside instead of inside. how ever you want, it's yours :)
i have lined pre-quilted before, it works just fine i just topstitched along the top and tacked the bottom corners.

I have made bags with double quilted fabric and I missed the pockets. I would line it too.
