I will be visiting my daughters and Granddaughter in NY the end of this month and made each of them a purse.
They have zipper pockets in each purse. Made some with fish, salamanders, flowers. The hardest part was doing all the snipping.

Do you have a picture of them? I love to make rag quilts. I bought myself a pair of the spring handle scissors and they really made it so much easier to snip all the seams.

Love the rag purses!!! I have made several rag quilts, even made one for my Pugs! But never saw a rag purse. Did you have a pattern or just 'do it'?? They are beautiful. I'll bet the girls fell in love with them too!? :D

Yes, the scissors, really helped while cutting all those edges. My hands still got tired but I couldn't even cut them with my Ginghers!! It's worth the money to invest in a pair if you're going to do any more 'rag' quilting.

Sam I am one of those JUST DO IT types. I saw them on ebay and had seen a rag quilt and thought that would be a fun gift for my girls. Also will make a couple for Fall Church Bazaar
    Thank you for you compliment

:D That's great!! I sometimes do that but more often use a pattern to start with then change it if I think of something better! I have made lots of quilted purses so don't imagine I would have too much trouble!? Maybe I'll make them for my 2 Granddaughters?? IF I can catch up with myself in all the other projects i want to do! haha! Happy quilting!
