Maybe hang onto it until something you want or need comes up?

Since I don't know what you already have it's hard to make a suggestion. I have an embroidery/sewing machine and have been buying threads from all over. Some have nice spools that hold the thread from coming off the spool - others do not, so I asked for the spool huggers. I put them on the spools I could get to and love them - already planning to buy more. Their "Lil Holster" looks interesting. I like the look of the wooden needle holders too. Let us know what you decide.

I had never heard of these, but my sister received sewing machine tattoos for a Christmas gift. An interesting idea: https://www.urbanelementz.com/tattoo-elementz.html

Thread, I saw a really cute thread collection yesterday. I'm not sure of the name at the moment. "Frosted" maybe?

YES! I find it difficult to spend on Aurifil thread, but it’s so wonderful to use! That’s what I’d go for and smile while I used it. :-)

My DH gave me a $150 gift card to JoAnn's here in town. I already have more fabric than I will ever use, so when I need batting, or 505 spray, curtain fabric, pillow forms etc., is when I'll use it.

Thanks for the great suggestions. I will probably hang on to it for a bit. My practical side is leaning towards thread or rotary blades. My aesthetic side is waiting for something a little more eye-catching and fun.

I can always use another quilt hanger, a mug, or some thread.

I’ve been into crazy quilting lately but my selection of embroidery threads was limited. I told dh I would like some Trebizond silk thread from purl soho. https://www.purlsoho.com/silk-embroidery-thread.html
For Christmas I received a spool of every color! I love that man!
