Hi from a lurker member,
I think I have found what you're looking for. Don't know how to link but go to Simple knits then expandable tote bag pattern. It is free & you can enlarge the diagram to see better & certainly can make larger to start with!!! JAF currently has quilted fabrics on special too.
Good luck

Guess I didn't put enough info to get you there. Sorry. Anyway- go to Simple Knits + expandable tote bag pattern. The date for this blog says Thursday, March 29,2007 on my print out.
Unlady-like words re: Win 10 & not getting link together. Just use old fashioned typing

The bag that Dunster has is similar to the bag in the book ABCs of LongarmQuilting by Patricia Barry. This is the one I made when I first got my longarm. I used my practice sandwich to make it. I added a pocket front and back and when I added the extra handles - I gave the webbing one twist so when tucked into the pocket it would lay flat.

My only mistake was not making the bottom flat (it looks like Dunsters sit flat on the ground) but it was easy to make and I use it all the time.

Here is a bag pattern that I use to carry quilts. I can carry an oversize king quilt with ease. I make some with one piece of yardage and some using scrap pieces.
