The Quilter's Horoscope

Speaking of subscribing to magazines, can anyone recommend a couple that are excellent. It seems like everytime I have subscribed to different magazines in the past only to be disappointed. Either, the magazine was not as described, or it didn't have alot of quilting and sewing projects or tips. It was really just, alot of useless info to me. I would like to find at least one that gave you tips and tricks and projects and show what other people have completed. Anyone have any ideas?

Ceannastahr,
I know what you mean about not having time to complete your project. I have been working on this one project for a few months now, and I keep stopping to make things for babies or birthdays. I would like to get mine finished, but I do enjoy making things for everyone else. In my family everyone has birthdays really close together throughout the year, except for the month of August, (I think) which is when I always start back to school, so as you can imagine, I never find time to get anything completed. LOL When will the madness stop? :D

Cancer pretty much describes me. My instructor asked me to enter my first quilt in a show, but having seen some of the competition, I just couldn't. Tooooo timid. I do like the traditional designs, just like it says. As far as colors, I thought, I like more than dark, rich colors. Then I thought about my March BOM, which is purple and gold, and huh, I do like those colors! Probably because sometimes my moods are dark, a Cancer trait too.
Fun to read, thanks for sharing.

Heather, about the magazines. I really like "Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting". They give good instructions & always show a alternate color choice made up. They show new items on the market & have interesting articles to read too. I also subscribe to McCalls Quilting, and Quilting World. I was getting more & decided to cut back & use what I have for now. I've got magazines in places I didn't know would hold magazines...LOL. I hope this helps.
Also, I'm a Taurus ~ The first line said always finishes a project! Well that isn't me. But from there on it is to the T. I've given every quilt I've made away. And my Stash.....well don't even want to use it because I'm afraid I'll want it for something better.......! I have enough to do quilts from now till forever. I always say the worst word I ever learned was: STASH ..LOL
