I haven't posted a link before. I hope this works:

About every 3 - 4 years I actually buy a hard cover of the book. I keep it in the trunk of my car in a fabric basket "catchall" in the trunk. Every time I take a road trip, I scope out the quilt shops on my route. I love having it. My husband and I were in CA for 2 weeks for our 31st anniversary trip in January and I visited 10 quilt shops! Amazingly, instead of stomping on the gas when I mentioned another shop coming up, my husband said "Program the address into the Garmin" and let me poke to my heart's content. It was a fabulous trip!

It does not show all the shops in each area. The web site might be showing only the shops that are paying to advertise.

My friend had the book and some of the shops were no longer in business. So it is best to call ahead and save time.

Very interesting. Thought there would be more guilds in our state than there were.

There probably are more in your state. Here in the Austin area we have five that comes to mind immediately and yet they only listed one; one that is way out on the outskirts leaving town. I find this list unreliable unless the LQS's didn't do the necessaries to get their store's name in on the list.
