When my ex and I would go see friends in Windsor, we always went to the casino. I carried $20. in my pocket and when I lost that I was done. I would walk around and watch other people. I past my husband once where he had been sitting at the same machine (which he only had put $10. into) since we had been there. He wanted me to sit at the machine so he could go to another one. I sat down and the second spin I won $1800.00. On the way home the next day we stopped at a camper place and put the money down on a camper. Long story short we used it once going to Maine, he left me for some one younger (after 25 years). I got the camper he had to pay off for me, and six years later my new husband and I love camping. He takes me to all the quilt stores wherever we go. We don't gamble and he lets me buy whatever I want. He loves going to the quilt stores with me..

NP3 - I know you stop at quilt shops. Just don't take too long when you head to TExas. We have shops to hit here too, let's see Cabbage ROse, Quilt Asylum, Houston street mercantile, Sew Krazee, Batiks Galore, and more. Wahooooooo.
I'll do that on the way back.......if I have any money left!

Well, I must confess next to quilting, playing the slots are my next passion. I don't go in expecting to come out a winner. I spend what I allocate (20-30$) and when that is gone then we leave. I don't call it gambling, I just call it entertainment for a few hours.

My sister always looks like a million bucks. She doesn't sew.
I look like uh....... well, jeans and sweatshirts, buy tons of fabric.
So if you saw us walking down the street you would know who doesn't spend money on her apparel hahahahaha :D:D:D
All I think about is fabric and music :D

Hubby had a day off of work dd had school so we decided to go to a casino a couple hours away. I got $200 gambling money from hubby. I dropped him off at the casino and I headed for the quilt shops in the area with my gambing money!! We both won. He won 2700 and I got some new stash!!

If I spend money, I want to have a bag to carry out with something in it!

YOu are so smart. I would have gone into the Riverwind casino with him, won more money and then gone to the LQS. You are so funny. Then again, you had more to spend. Good girl. If I have to go with DH and friends again tomorrow, I just went with my mom and sis, then I am going to pocket my money and watch him gamble. It's just as fun and I don't lose. teehee

I have NO luck when it comes to gambling. Hubby knows my gambling funds are 'donations ' only. Lol. He's the lucky duck. I have to keep my distance from him when he gambles tho. We were in Vegas two yrs ago and every time i went up to him to ask for more 'donations' to the casino he'd crap out after huge wining streaks.. It's been a running joke ever since.
