Default Great-Grandmother's Quilt went to the Christmas Parade today

As I was leaving the Christmas Parade, I saw a pre-teen with a small quilt that she was dragging along the concrete as she went to the car with her family. I asked who made that quilt for her and she quickly answered, "My great-grandmother made it for me. She just died two weeks ago. She was 89, right dad? Oh, just 87." She proudly showed me the front and back. Then, she gathered it up more tightly in her arms. I'll bet that little quilt gets to go to lots more parades.

Oh how sweet, I sure hope the quilts I make get dragged around by future generations.

Aww That is wonderful. I'm so glad it means so much to her. I suspect with that as an inspiration, she may be a future quilter herself.
