I'm afraid this enquiry is going to be pretty vague-but hopefully someone will remember the guy I'm referring to. Several years ago, on Simply Quilts there was a man that was a quilter that was frequently on the show. He was an engineer as well as a quilter and he created table top quilting frames (PVC pipes) that basically "floated" on under your stretched quilt and allowed you to freely use your machine to quilt. I think his name was Ken something and I believe he lived in the western part of the U.S.
Does this ring any bells with anyone? I know he has a website that demos that frames but I cant remember that either. I suffer from CRC-Cant Remember Crap.

I love my frame, have it set up on a 'banquet table' in my spare room....only trouble I have had it making it bigger as the PVC pipe he uses is not available here....I have been modestly successful using what is called Schedule 40 pipe, but it is not quite as ridge as his product.... I bought a used frame from a member of this board, so was very cost effective.

Everything except the name 'Ken' points to John Flynn. Flynn is an engineer, while Lund is an artist. Both have invented quilt frames. Flynn has been on Simply Quilts, but I don't think Lund has been. http://flynnquilt.danemcoweb.com/

I have one of Mr. Flynn's frames. AND I love it!!!!!

I use thin wall conduit pipe for the long poles. It is at most home supply stores. If I remember it was cheap about $5 for a 10 ft piece. I like the frame. It sets up fast and not much money spent on it. It took a lot of practice but I am pretty good with it for all over designs side to side. [h=1][/h]

I think you might be referring to Ken Lund. I think he lives in Utah, or somewhere out west. He has a number of Youtube videos showing how to assemble and use his frame. I just got one, but haven't put it together yet.
