I just acquired a Sears Kenmore 148.531. No manual. In searching the net, I can't find anyone who has one, though I have emailed two companies to request one just in case they have one and haven't posted it on their websites.

Does anyone have a 148? Do you think the manual for the 158 will be close enough to show me the basics for using this machine? (I have a Featherweight and only know how to use IT)

Thanks!

Cindi

I found one place that says it has some Kenmore manuals and some of them are down loadable in PDF. Good luck

Thanks for the offer of the manual - I just downloaded it from the website suggested above. As for the cams for different stitches, I don't know; I'll have to check. It's closed up in its cabinet in the kitchen underneath some other stuff. It if has them, and I can't figure it out, I might bug you in the future!

The cams are for your decorative stitching. they go in the top of the machine, just play around with the machine and you will figure it. I have a similar machine and it is a good sewer. Good luck.
