Hmmmm...Powder and lipstick??? Have to make an appointment to get my hair cut, colored and fixed. Dress? Need to get one. Won't my robe do?
Dishes done??? Hey, I thought I was doing good just sweeping the kitchen floor. Yes, there are a few dishes in the sink...I'll do them with dinner dishes.
Bed made...have to remove the dog so I can make it.

They forgot to remind you to have supper ready when DH arrives home ... and then be sure to take him his slippers. Also, that you must keep the children quiet, so he can, have some quiet time after his hard day at work.

Sounds like the advise I got from my beloved Aunt 30 years ago, she was 88 at the time. My husband gets thrilled if I get into jeans instead of sweats when I sew.
As far are worrying if people stop by and catch me "not put together". If they know me at all they will expect it.
