I don't use poly anymore, for anything, and haven't for several years. I generally use cotton, silk and/or wool threads, fabrics, and battings, but sometimes bamboo, alpaca, cashmere, or other fibers.

That decision was not based on any myths, it's simply my choice to use natural fibers. I do make art quilts, I do make competition quilts, and I do make utility quilts...all with 100% natural fibers. It's my preference after 4 decades of experence and experimentation. Follow your own star.

I like Superior's "Masterpiece" 50 wt. cotton thread for piecing but always quilt with their polyester threads or use Glide polyester thread.
