    Well, the firefighters did it again, and most of them are volunteers!! All the fires around here are out or contained. It turns out that most of the smoke that was covering the Lake Arrowhead area where I live came from a fire at Possum Kingdom. That smoke finally was gone about 8:00 this evening. Thank goodness. It crept into the house somehow. Sneaky stuff...hurt our eyes and made it not too comfortable to breathe.

    We desperately need rain and then we could handle the fierce wind. Fire danger would be way down. That doesn't look like it is going to happen though. At least not soon. Nor are the winds going to be calm for the next few days.

    I did finish the charity quilt. Will start another soon. :) I don't do well being nervous unless my hands are busy. Quilting is just right for that!!
