It would be almost like getting an email from here for each and everytime time a post was made/replied to. It can literally be hundreds of replies/emails a day. :shock:
None that I received were advertisements, just from member's replies/posts.

I learn about yahoo group e mails the hard way to. Some you can't change and everytime someone post you get an e-mail. I had to drop out of a few for this reason to.

All you have to do is block or report as spam the emails from yahoo groups and then just read them online when you want to. I belong to many yahoo groups and I don't get any emails, even from the ones that say you have to.

I belong to a number of yahoo groups. As stated previously, you can set the e-mail notifications to you individual preference. Some of the groups I belong to, I set it up to send only special notices. Another group, I set to send a daily synopsis. If you visit the site often to read the messages, I would suggest setting it up to receive only special notices.
