    Quiltville's Quips & Snips

I just happened to go to the Quiltville blogspot by Bonnie Hunter last evening and watched her Ustream from her sewing room. She answered questions that came in from viewers and sewed. Does anyone know if there is schedule to tune in for? It was interesting but it is not available all the time.

No, it's just a live stream so you have to view it while it's streaming. Fun to watch if it happens to fit into your schedule.

She always gives heads up on Facebook when she will be turning on her quilt cam. If you don't do Facebook you can get an email or text from UStream. I watch her on my Kindle while I sew.
    Got fabric?

Is there a charge for signing up for an e-mail?? A couple of years ago went to a web site to watch something --never signed up but then on my phone bill came a charge of 15.00 a month. Noticed that for 2 months (only went there once) so called company and the credited my account. So does this ustream.tv/channel/quiltville charge?? Thanks

Good question!!!!! I hesitate signing up to all these sites........I swear they end up "selling" the email addys just like junk mail.......don't want any part of that......I really don't want to have to walk around with an electronic device strapped to me so as not to "miss" something.........too complicated..........

If you sign up for her blog posts, she will mention on there when she will do Quilt Cam. Her blogs are alot of fun to read as when she travels she blogs about it right then so it is like you are there with her. She even blogged when she went to Bali and showed us lots of photos of Bali and the batik fabric factories that she got to tour. It was very interesting to see how they make batik fabric. Just go to her website and sign on to get her daily blogs.

It's 4:06 on Sunday and I am watching Bonnie Hunter paper piece on her treadle live on her Ustream. I thought I would let those who are interested know on QB.

Ustream is free but if you want the no ad version it cost a few dollars. I use the free, the ads aren't intrusive.

I watched it yesterday too - she gives so many great tips as she is sewing on her projects, always promoting to use what you have. She is down to earth and also has a great sense of humour - some of her comments can be quite entertaining.

Does anyone know if you are able to pull up the video after it has aired?

You can only pull up the video after it has aired if she has pushed the record button while filming. Other wise the camera is just on and the video is live but not recorded to be viewed later. Does that make sense?
