Default Rag Quilt Pattern (Pictures Attached)

HI again,

I've decided on a couple patterns for a rag quilt I have been posting about. (Again thank you all for your help, I apologize for all the questions).

I think I've decided on the "non" diamond layout. (The first pic) The white squares will be teal, purple, maybe a little black (I haven't bought the fabric for that yet. Thank you all so much for your help and patience!!

Both are cute. You might even go to Plan C after you start using the other color fabrics.

It looks nice with just the white, too.

It was a good idea to put the cheetah shoe in the middle - that helps tie the border to the whole quilt.

Thanks bear! I'll try to play around with some other fabric and see how it looks - the white isn't bad. haha so many decisions!

That is the fun part of designing. I like the second one. What other colors are you going to use to fill in the blank squares???

Thanks native, I wasn't sure if the smaller shoe fabric was too close to the cheetah border?? But I think I kinda like it too. I'm driving myself crazy with this! haha

Still strugging with other fabrics for remaining (white) blocks.... the black I added has bit of a shimmer to it so looks better than the pic

H Mania, my daughter requested teal and purple but I'm not sure now. Any suggestions?

I played a bit with one of your patterns -

The big blocks of color seem kind of overpowering to the shoes - maybe make small nine-patches of the color blocks so they look "lighter"?
