You may be able to use these, however; you will most likely need to loosen tension. Good luck.

you can only try= i've not had any luck with the rayon embroidery threads for quilting on the long-arm but i think it's because the machine just goes too fast for that thread...on your smaller machine it might work. i bought whole sets of embroidery threads too- spent $400 on threads that sit on a closet shelf---for the past 5 years- once in a great while i get a box down and look for a color---but i've pretty much replaced all the colors i use with threads that work for me....i hope it does not rot before i find a use for it...

I only use the rayon thread for embroidery - it will melt with heat. When embroidering something that will be washed in hot water I use DMC cotton machine embroidery thread. For long arm quilting the tension will need to be adjusted and there is a silicone thread lubricant that will help with the thread breaking.

Thank you I tried this last night and it works okay but not for long. I have the Juki 98 which does about 1500 stiitches per minute and I think maybe thats the problem. After about 10 minutes or so the thread shreds and breaks repeatedly. I did try it in the bobbin and it seems to work great so far. In addition because it's thinner it held more bobbin thread. Only problem I worried about was does it hold up over the years like cotton would.
