Puzzler,

A. Lucky you to have a granddaughter
B. Anything smaller than a 2 1/2 in square gets tossed by me without a care or thought. I figure I have enough fabric to last the rest of this lifetime and at LEAST 1/2 of my next one, so that doesnt bother me a bit. I am not cutting many squares that small either, try to get them into a 2 1/2 strip, thats more workable for me.

Qltgrose, that sounds like a very good plan. We sound an awful lot alike. Since the 1st of the year I have been working on two art quilts (with beads) a large scrap quilt for my daughter and now this improv - modern quilt. I have pulled so many fabrics I had my 6' table covered and my machine quilting table covered with only a small cutting area left so Saturday morning I got up, drank my coffee, and started to work. I have both tables cleared. It feels so good to have work room.

This is the latest version of my quilt. I think I am going to start sewing the squares on today. Do you think the border overpowers the blocks?
