Well I have my first and only Tee shirt quilt made and my DH has it on the quilt frame and he cannot seem to get it quilted. He has tried everything you would normally check, like tension, needle, cleaning bobbin etc. The thread always breaks. I am wondering if it could be because of the knit of the tee shirt and if there is a needle one could for quilting on knits. I have run out of ideas of what I thought could be the problem. He is very patient and has ripped it a couple of times and I am beginning to worry because I have volunteered to make it for the boys track team to auction off to raise money for their team.

I used a jersey needle for mine and didn't have any trouble.

I'm right in the middle of one that has a lot of tees. I hate it. The thread keeps breaking for me as well. I'm using Organ needles, size 14 I think?

We have just decided to quilt the sashing and that is going to be fine.
A friend of me just told me by personal email not to try to quilt on the fusible interfacing, I think that is what is doing the breaking of the thread it is jut to think I had a needle for knits and that did not help too much so I decided I didn't want to wreck the Tees and do less than more, Good Luck
