I have a friend that works at a LQS. On Wed when she comes to church I usually have to pick off the loose threads. To me, in my house, I am not fully dressed with out cat hair and threads.

I have a friend who has NO hobbies, no pets and her kids have moved out for years...Her house is immaculate... she wears black a lot and she told me one time she loves looking at her socks and pants after she has been here... like abstract art!

Love the "stuff" that makes my life richer including the dog hair and seam ripper residue!

I have to check myself every time I go out the door to see if I have any of those little clinging creatures on me. At least if I do and don't find them everyone knows I've been working at something. I live in a small town and almost everyone who knows me knows I quilt, so that's a relief.
At least when we do go out and have our little clingers no one can accuse us of wearing something that is (thread barren). lol

That is such a cute story but the truth of it is that is the true life of a quilter.

I usually say, "Quilters come with threads attached" 'cause I'm proud of being a quilter. Let them yearn for my enthusiasm!
