Thanks everyone for the great ideas. I did wash and dry it and it is OK but haven't tested it with the iron. That could be a big mess if it shrivels or sticks. Otherwise I will stuff it on a back shelf and probably wonder where it is if I ever think of just the right use for it! Thanks again.

I cut the skirt part away and used it to make a new bed skirt. It was already the right size, so made things a lot easier.

I guess that was too obvious. It is a double so I could easily use it for a twin too or even add a little to it for a queen so will keep that in mind also. Thanks.
