I want to use some fabric from my stash for microwave bowls.I am fairly certain its 100% cotton,but isn't there a burn test I can do to be sure. Its been too many years since my textiles class and identifying unknow fabric content/

Cotton will turn to ash when burned; synthetics will melt. You are on the right track (smile).
