One time , my sister & I were at a retreat. Someone unwrapped several feet from her spool of thread, cut it & then wrapped it back on the spool. When she was doing her chain sewing, she didn't notice when she got to the cut thread. She had quite a few squares on the floor that weren't sewn.

Put a piece of scotch tape over the water spigot in the bathroom. When they wash their hands, it will spray them. :O)

If you're by a door with tile block ceilings, prop 2 blocks up a little so a string easily slips through. Tie a fake spider to the end of the string. Keep the spider close to the ceiling, but drop the spider down when a quilter walks through!

At the end of a long night of quilting, grab a few seam rippers and put them in a paper cup filled with water. Stick it in the freezer overnight. In the morning when people are missing their seam rippers, check the freezer for ice for your drink and discover them. They cannot microwave them to defrost and running hot water in the cup will take a good few minutes.
