Tell him fabric is much cheaper than paying for therapy or a divorce.

Talk about attitude!

I guess his biggest problem is that he doesn't like all the time [he thinks] I spend sewing. Hey, I still work 40 hours a week, I'm NOT high maintenance, and I don't ask for much. Ok, so I ignore housework most of the time, but so does everyone else who lives here. When I find some time to sew, it makes me feel a lttle less like all I do is work.

This will be one of those things I'm not sure what to do with. Right now it just says "picnic table" to me, and I think it would be cute to applique large ants all over it. But then I do a reality check, and I remember I wouldn't be able to quilt such a big project myself (you know, for free), until some day when I can get myself a longarm machine. I do want to lay out the blocks and see what kind of arrangement I might like, but I'd better wait until DH cools down a bit.

How wonderful for you! Happy Birthday!
Maybe your co-worker and her father would like one of your special quilter's basket ornaments for their tree (if they celebrate Christmas).

Ok everybody, here's the total:

217 yds of quilting cottons,
49 yds muslin in regular widths,
8 yds muslin in 90" width
(All the other stuff I listed on the first page)
a 1983 coupon from Joann's (lol)
5 yds of a lovely, silky scarf fabric, but in a color I could never wear.
A Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt project.....if interested, please see the classifieds.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes and moral support!

Wow! Happy Birthday and congrats on your good fortune!! I just had my birthday on the 15th and all I got was a sunburn and chapped lips :-) Tell your husband to chill, he would have been REALLY ticked if he had to pay for all that treasure.
