I have noticed I get a small amount of the gathering effect if I don't loosen the pressure on my presser foot. Especially when I am quilting a sandwich with 2 fabrics and batting. I always do a test stitch, and if there is any gathering I loosen the pressure on my presser foot.

Can you give me the title of your Lynette Jensen book on attaching borders please? I looked on Amazon and saw many of her books but not one on borders. Thanks .
