I just received my new Avante 18 Long Arm and we have set it up. My question to other LA quilters is if you use roll batting where do you get your supply? Do you think Warm & Natural is a good product? I know I have enjoyed using it with smaller quilts but have never used it from the roll.

I enjoy working with W&N. I guess it will be personal preference.

I use a lot of Dream batting. It quilts very nice and is much cheaper. I do use some Warm N Natural also. I buy it on the roll when Hancock's has it on sale.

I'm lucky that here we are so close to California that a truck comes from there - Cranberry Quiltworks - and brings us our orders.

Other than that ... I would use coupons from LQS or others for the battings I like. I mostly use Warm & Natural but like Dream Cotton, too. My dream quilt would have silk batting ... remember, I said dream.

One of my LA friends orders over the net.

I don't have a long arm but I always by the Warm & Natural off the roll from JoAnns. They will have 50% off at least once every other month so it runs around 5.99 a yard then. I have quilted by machine and hand and it is my favorite. I love the Warm & White even more!

I don't have a longarm, don't use batting by the roll.

What I can't figure out is how do you lift when you get it home?

I have an account with Checker Distributors and the Dream Cotton Company. Both sell rolls and packages. Dream products have a much better drape than W&N.

5.99 a yard!! I want to come and live in the USA. We pay from $22 a metre upwards here, although I have used a poly/cotton blend that is about $16 a metre.
