Just got this today from About Quilting.com. It is really pretty & thought everone might enjoy. It could really be done in lots of different ways.

Wouldn't this be pretty, fussy cutting the center square. It would make such a cute baby quilt with all the choices in fabric available.

Thanks for posting it. I've been thinking of a saw toothed star from a jelly roll and looking at 8 1/2" blocks for the center. I could make the center square 6 1/2" (6" finished") and use jelly roll strips for the rest.

I have another jelly roll of Portobello Market and 8 FQs of the Flax from that collection that includes one that is not in the jelly roll. It has large mushrooms in red and flax, like a botanical print, that I could use for the center square.

I could call it Star of BS. :lol: Ok... dumb humor. Just thinking of Star of Bethlehem but it's mushrooms so.....

Thanks for posting that Debra - can see how many effects could be made depending on colour placements, it's a versatile block.
